DEFRANZY - Geschichten mit Beat: das ist die neue „Neue Deutsche Welle“! Bisschen Rap, bisschen Pop, bisschen Elektro.
Mit ihrem Debut Album erinnert sich DEFRANZY musikalisch in die Zukunft. Genau wie bei den musikalischen Wurzeln in den Achtzigern steht der kantige Rhythmus der Deutschen Sprache im Vordergrund. DEFRANZY geht leicht und ironisch mit Rap-, Pop- und Schlager-Zitaten um. Wie Millennials eben so sind, sind ihre Texte leicht, frisch und ehrlich. Die echte Berliner Göre erschafft Lieder, die den Kopf einfach nicht mehr verlassen - mit großem Selbstverständnis und ganz viel Charme.
Produziert wurde das Album vom Produzenten OYes in den OYesStudios natürlich in Berlin. Mit den 12 Tracks ist gute Laune vorprogrammiert. DEFRANZYs pure Direktheit und Humor überzeugen, man möchte sofort mitsingen. Das Album steht ganz im Zeichen eines neuen Feminismus: Die Frau nicht als Objekt, sondern als Subjekt, nicht untätig und passiv, sondern aktiv auf der Suche nach Grenzen. DEFRANZY – Stories with beat: That’s truly the new „Neue Deutsche Welle“ (New German Wave)! There’s a splash of rap, a hint of pop and some electro.
On her debut album, DEFRANZY musically recalls the future. The edged rhythms of the German language stand out – exactly in the same way that her musical roots did in the 80’s. DEFRANZY plays with rap-, pop- and schlager music references in an easy and ironical way. Just as how the Millennials are, her texts are down-to-earth, fresh and honest. But believe us: she’s pretty badass and creates songs, that get stuck in your head – of course with a lot of charme and self-confidence.
The Producer OYES produced the album in the OYesStudios straight outta Berlin. DEFRANZY’s pure straightforwardness and humor is persuading – you just wanna sing along with her immediately. This album is characterized by a new feminism: a woman no longer idle and passive but actively exploring the margins and beyond. A woman, who believes in herself, who observes her environment carefully and who helps herself and simply takes what she needs. But most of all, a woman, who makes music: Music, which is empowering.
